A Summer Muncie Indiana Family Photography Session
I did Maternity photos for Kayla and Bill a few short years ago and now we are back capturing some updated shots of their sweet baby—not so much a baby anymore!
Happy Holidays everyone! I’ll be out of the office today (Christmas Eve) and tomorrow (Christmas Day) Thanks again for the wonderful year!
Every year I take camping family photos for Heather and her family. The very first time I ever photographed these kids they were tiny toddlers and now they are growing up before my eyes. I am so so so so happy to be able to give her these photos. I often lament that teenagers are notoriously hard to photograph. They are too old to be bribed and too young to do it because its important to their parents but I know that when they are older they will appreciate having these photos of all of them together.
This year we met up at Mounds State Park and the Light Gods smiled down on us and lit the trees up with some beautiful fall warmth. I think I died and wen to photography heaven.
Ashley and Evan own a brewery in Kentucky so when they emailed me and asked if I would be willing to come with them to photograph their wedding and rehearsal brewery tour in North Carolina it made complete sense…and of course I said yes! I love getting to photograph rehearsals because its a perfect opportunity to get candid family when everyone is relaxed and there isn’t any worries about timelines or other wedding stress.
PS: This wedding was in 2019, back when we could actually go out in large groups. Do you remember that? Its been a minute. I can’t wait until we can be back to “normal”. Looking through these photos made me so happy though. I am glad I got to be a part of such a fun day!
I was so happy when Courtney contacted me about doing a in-home family photos. These sessions are my favorite because it shows families in their everyday environment and many many years down the road you’ll be able to look back at your photos and remember so much more than just a few posed shots. You’ll get to remember the laughter and silliness, lessons and trails, and that short moment in time where your kid was so small.
I go into every in-home photography session without a plan. I know—I know. That probably sounds terrifying but after doing it for more than five years, it usually only takes a couple of seconds to look around and say “Oh! That will be great!” Back when we used to be able to go places (you remember those days right?) I did it there too. I’m always looking for good light even when I’m not working!
I think the shots at the piano are my favorites from this session. These kinds of sessions are always one of a kind. Every family has different tastes and hobbies to incorporate to make their family photos unique and special.
