Alison and Haden's Coxhall Garden Wedding in Carmel, Indiana

When wedding restrictions went into place in the early summer of 2020 Alison and Haden had to decide what to do with the big wedding they had planned to celebrate not only their nuptuals but also Allison’s graduation from law school. It was an event years in the making that suddenly needed to be changed. They decided to keep their original date for the ceremony and move their reception to next year. Luckily, Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, IN had some availability for a short wedding ceremony in their beautiful amphitheater.

The day was hot and sunny. If you’re a photographer, you know that outdoor weddings on hot sunny days can be a bit of a challenge but thanks to some creative angles and my signature candid style, I don’t think you would ever know!

This day was one of my absolute favorites of the year. Alison got ready at home with her sisters (new and original) and her mom and grandma oversaw all the fun moments! During the processional, it became clear that grandpa needed a little extra stability for all the stairs and Haden literally leapt into action to help. As someone whose been married for over a decade, I knew in that moment that these two have a strong future.

I’ll get to meet up with these two and their lovely families again next year and I know its going to be just as much fun as this day was!

A Vintage Inspired LGBTQ Wedding in Indiana

Kaila and Cortney’s day made my day! Kaila is a lover of all things vintage and she used that theme in their decor. She incorporated details from both of their friends and family members whose spirits could be felt all day watching over such an important moment in their lives. They also chose a custom cake to be sure their pups were a part of the day even though they had to stay at home. Everything was completely them. From the song sung by Cortney’s brother to the Twist and Shout breakdown on the dancefloor.

A Backyard Wedding in Zionsville, Indiana

This year a lot of couples opted to have small backyard wedding ceremonies in Indiana and I am so glad that I got to photograph them! One of my favorites this year was in Zionsville. I knew the day was going to be great when I walked around the house and found a bunch of ducks! Then I walked inside the house and heard the girls all singing along to the Hamilton Soundtrack!

Goeglein's Garden Grove Wedding in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Goeglein’s has been catering weddings in Fort Wayne for many years and recently they’ve added a outdoor space to their property to host beautiful outdoor wedding ceremonies in Fort Wayne. I was so happy to get to photograph this wedding here. It rained all morning and it stopped just in time for Rebecca to come down the aisle! Goeglein’s Garden Grove was a beautiful backdrop for this wedding and I get the feeling that I’ll be back sooner rather than later!

In Home Engagement Photography in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Chalk another one up for unique engagement sessions! I love, love, love it when couples want to have some photos done in their house. These two wanted to celebrate their new home and incorporate some of their loves, including their dog, the love of vintage and relaxing with the perfect cup of tea. Afterwards, we went to their wedding venue at Goeglein's Garden Grove in Fort Wayne.
