The Kane Backyard Wedding | Goshen Indiana Wedding Photographer

Elaine and Scott’s wedding was the first wedding of the year to be effected by the reduced gatherings here in Indiana. So instead of rescheduling, they took over Elaine’s parents’ backyard and slashed their guest list to only include immediate family other than the wedding party. They live streamed their day to the rest of the family. A few of the aunts and uncles even made a special dinner to eat with them along with their reception.

A Styled Wedding Shoot for Moonlit Designs Wedding Planning in Fort Wayne, Indiana

So I am technically photographing Katie’s wedding later this year but when she contacted me to see if I would be interested in doing a styled shoot for her wedding planning business I was totally up to help out—even if preplanned / detail photos aren’t exactly what I’m known for and I’ve never done a styled shoot in my life. Haha! As seems to be the case with styled shoots, things didn’t go as planned. Katie’s models weren’t able to make it so she and her soon to be hubby stepped in. It ended up being the perfect run through for their big day coming up in the fall! Plus we got a lot of adorable photos for the Moonlit Designs Wedding Planning Website and got to feature Mo’s Cupcakes and Endless Sweets’ beautiful creations. Not to mention we got some great photos with their pups.

If you are looking for a wedding planner or day of wedding coordinator in Fort Wayne give Katie a call! I worked with her on her friends wedding earlier this year and she did a great job!

Shelby and Austin | Anderson, Indiana Wedding Photography

Shelby and Austin invited me to document their small laid back wedding at Mounds State Park this last Fall and I am so so so so glad that they did! I photograph a lot of weddings at Mounds Park and this is one of my absolute favorites! Their decor perfectly matched their style (and Austin’s love for plants). But you know me, it was their family that I fell in love with. Everyone was so happy to get to celebrate the day and Shelby even honored her mom’s birthday with a song during the reception!

Katie and Noah's Winter Wedding in Cincinnati, Ohio

I love it when I get to photograph active duty military personnel, but it seems like the last few have been so active that they almost don’t make it to the wedding ceremony! This wedding was the second one I’ve photographed where the groom flew in tie the knot and then left back to work the next day. Anyone marrying into the military is used to that though and Katie is now finished up with her degree and the two are together again.

Oh and did I mention that this wedding actually got cut short a couple hours due to a big snowstorm that was just getting started. I didn’t want to get stranded in Ohio so I drove through it all the way home to Indiana at about 35 miles per hour. haha. It took 4 hours but I made it! And it was so worth it to get to capture this day for Katie and Noah!

PS: If you or your partner are active duty or a veteran let me know when you reach out, I offer a 20% military discount for wedding photography in Ohio, Indiana, and all the places I go!

A Snowy Engagement Session in Sidney, Ohio

Late Fall engagement sessions are always risky. You just never know how long the color is going to last in the Midwest. We had a couple big storms before this session and the weather was looking cold and rainy for the session. As usual, I let my clients doing any rescheuding because I’ll shoot through almost anything and luckily Kaitlyn and Justin were up for it.

When we first arrived, it started snowing and I was soooooooooooo happy! Snow makes everything pretty and the chances of it happening during a session are slim. The snow eventually blew on past and the cold stuck around but it stopped raining and the rest of the session was perfect <3
