Cortney and Kaila's Engagement session in Lebanon, Indiana

Must love dogs…

Cortney warned me that they wanted to incorporate their dogs into a few photos for their engagement session and my only question was “can I pet them?!” haha. I love dogs so much. They are always so full of personality and really make a family all that more exciting!

It was a cold, drizzly day, but that did not stop us in the slightest! We adventured into the city and got some adorable shots of these two that they will treasure for many years to come!

I think the best part of my job is to give people that legacy—a memory—that they can always have through the years and hardships of life, they can always look back at these photos and remember just what made them fall in love in the first place! I love love ya’ll!

A Summer Anderson Museum of Art Wedding

Art imitates Love

Its a special treat when I get to photograph a wedding in my own backyard so when Kristin emailed me to tell me their venue was the Anderson Museum of Art, I got so excited. The Anderson Museum of Art is one of my favorite wedding venues in Anderson and Kristin had planned a day that was full of classic beauty at the same time as having the laid back feel of a backyard wedding.

We took about twenty minutes to explore the growing downtown Anderson area for some portraits and one of the local breweries (the couple’s favorites) even let us come inside and have a drink. It was so much fun to take them places that I’ve always wanted to photograph!

In Home Newborn Session in Fishers, Indiana

I always try to think through the eyes of my clients twenty years in the future. This little guy is three years old already and I love the little moments that we caught during this session.

Unlike traditional newborn sessions, I actually like to do newborn sessions a few months in when your babe is awake and starting to show their personality. —Also, it lets you guys catch up on a “little” sleep before being thrust into the front of a camera. Ha.

Jessica and Gary's Lafayette Indiana Engagement Session

Better together…

Happy Hollow park is a popular spot for photo sessions in Lafayette Indiana but I’m never sad when my couples want to go there. I can always find excellent spots and it seems to bring something new to every session I photograph there. Also, my couples always make every session unique. These two had so much fun that we could have literally photographed against a white wall and it would look good, haha. I encourage you to never take a session seriously with me. Laugh. Dance. Be silly. When your old, you’ll look back at those photos see just how in love you were even all those years ago <3

A Gwaltney Wedding at The Barn at Hawks Point in Anderson, Indiana

Fun, Family, and Good Times

These two wanted as minimal posing to their wedding photography as possible and I had such a good time being fully immersed in the relationships and dynamics of their family and friends. There was not one minute of downtime or boredom to be found at this Anderson, Indiana Wedding.

Documentary Wedding Photography is a passion of mine. It’s not only just because weddings are awesome and the wedding industry is recession proof job security ( :P ) Its because family is just so important. As much as I love all of the beautiful details of Weddings, there is nothing better than capturing those smiles and hugs from friends and family…even better to capture something that can never be recreated.

It seriously makes my days.
