Celebrating New Additions in Westfield, Indiana

Catching up with more of my couples this weekend who are embarking on the next adventure into parenthood. I love photographing newborns in a relaxing and natural way. Growing and birthing a child kind of upends your normal routine for a while so the more relaxed and easy I can make a newborn session, the better.

I photograph newborns in a style that’s less posed and more laid back so if you are looking for a lifestyle newborn photographer or a documentary newborn photographer than I am your girl! I will come to your house so you don’t have to worry about packing up and transporting a million diapers and pacifiers to a studio and can relax if your newborn has a blowout or needs nursed during our session.

There is also no hard session cut off for newborn sessions. I block out extra time for newborns just in case we need to take breaks to nurse or change diapers. Newborn sessions are never rushed and that way we are able to capture a wide variety of photos.

Because my newborn sessions are less posed, I actually recommend scheduling your photos around 20-30 days after you come home. If you are being induced and/or know your due date, we can schedule ahead of time, but if not, just shoot me an email when you get home.

Maternity Photography in Fort Wayne, Indiana

I love catching up with my clients when they celebrate new milestones in their lives so I was super excited when Beth emailed me to set up a Maternity photo session this last month. With winter still hanging on, we opted to go to the botanical gardens in Fort Wayne—which turned out to be a great idea because it was blustery cold and snowing the day of our shoot. Luckily for us, the desert was just steps away :P

Maternity sessions are a great way to celebrate your newest addition before your days turn into chaos. A lot of my clients use these photos for baby shower invitations or pregnancy announcements. I usually recommend scheduling around the 7month mark.

My turn around time for sessions us usually around 3 weeks, but as usual, just let me know if you need your photos by a specific day and I will do my best to get them to you early if needed—I can (and do) fit in emergency sessions pretty regularly so just let me know when booking.

The Dog Days of Summer | Indiana Family Photography in Monticello, Indiana

The early summer rain pushed and pushed this family session back until we finally found a day where everyone could get together for this awesome family session—of course it was blazing hot, but this group took it in stride and I am so glad they went for it, despite the heat. And bonus, they all brought their dogs! I love it when families include their pets in the family photos!
