Mums the Word

Variety is the spice of life so I try to get us a lot of different groupings and locations in our session so you have lots of different photos to choose from.

Pre Wedding Ceremony Candids at Kaitlyn and Justin's Dayton Ohio Wedding

I am currently writing this blog, reading reddit posts and uploading a different wedding to be delivered. So in case you thought I was even capable of doing one thing at a time, do you know another good reason for me to carve out time for pre wedding ceremony candids? Its the time I use to see what my camera settings need to be for the ceremony. I watch the people arriving and walking down aisles to dial in what I need for the important moments of the day. Plus, I get to photograph some kids looking bored or trying to escape, haha

Kaitlyn and Justin's Catholic Wedding Ceremony and Why You Don't Necessarily Need a Second Photographer

Kaitlyn and Justin’s wedding was just as beautiful as the church it was held in. I love getting to be a part of all kinds of different weddings and this one was no exception! I get asked often if a second photographer is needed for weddings and the only time I recommend one is if the groomsmen are getting ready in another location AND they want their getting ready photographed. The reason most couples ask is because they are concerned about getting a shot of the bride walking down the aisle and the groom seeing her for the first time. I get around that by placing myself 3 or 4 rows back opposite from the groom and swinging back and forth between the two. As long as you have a long aisle (like this wedding) or walk slow, both photos can be photographed with no problems.

A Gift to the Bride

Celebrate Getting Lucky

We were wrapping up our session ahead of the sunset—and a storm that was getting closer when we turned around and saw this epic-ness. So even though the kids were 100% done putting up with us, we took a few shots of the family enjoy the dramatic sunset.
