Take a Moment and Reflect On Your Family

Maybe I’m a simple person, but every family I photograph I am always in awe of the fact that two human people—with their ups and downs and struggles and triumphs—are out in the world raising other humans to be the very best they can be. I’m not a parent but I can see clear the strength and tenacity that is required to raise a strong loving family. So pat yourself on the back, parents. You are doing a great job!

Alex and Chris Have A Party

This is where the magic happens. When the formalities are over and the lights turn down. Its time to let loose and have FUN! These are always my favorite photos of the night :D

Lets Go to Grandma's House!

When I got contacted to do an extended family session for a family that was together for the first time from all over the world, I knew these photos would be so important. Plus, we didn’t have to worry about the weather — it rained — and I know these photos will be treasured forever.

A Little Love Way Down In Kokomo

Okay, technically, the Titus-Cox wedding was way “up” in Kokomo from where I live but I couldn’t resist a beach boys reference in the title. This was another toasty summer wedding so luckily, their ceremony and reception was indoors, but we still jumped outside into the greenery for our formal photos. As you might have noticed from looking through my photos, I like color. I like normal skin tones and real greens. So if my clients are up for going outside we will always opt for that :P

You Bring the Balloons and I'll Bring the Memories

I love it when my clients bring props to their sessions! Graham’s parents brought some balloons for his cake smash session and I grabbed some candid photographs of him playing after the cake cleanup was finished. So cute…and relatable! haha I always think that these are going to be the photos the look back on with fond memories when Graham is older :)
