Okay, Now Squeeeeeeze In Tight

I always love making siblings do the tight squeezy hug. Someone is always going to get smooshed and we always end up with some great expressions afterward! Don’t be afraid of getting “the perfect photo”. Life is remembered in the moments in between.

Simplicity in Love

I try to put myself in my client’s shoes and take photos that I know I would want if I were them. The Bride was getting married and her late grandfather, a former pastor, was a very important person in her life, so I took the rings for a few detail photos that would incorporate those elements into the scene.

Explore the World and Be a Little Silly

Wiggly kids means sometimes you just have to hold on to them and let them wiggle, haha. We took breaks from “looking at the camera” to look at some fish and the trees when the kiddos showed signs of boredom. We let kids rule family sessions—we just don’t tell them that. Happy kids equal happy pictures…even if they’re a bit silly :P

Recreating The Past

I photographed Stephanie and Charlie’s engagement session, wedding, maternity, and family for the last several years. They wanted to come back here to do some photos in the same spot they had engagement and maternity photos taken. I love doing things like that! Never be afraid to bring up ideas or suggestions before or during our session. I want to get you photos that you’ll love!

And Baby Makes Three

I love meeting up to photograph every new chapter in my clients life. Whether or not you plan on adding children to your family, pets, or just need updated photos of you and your partner. In these two’s case, they found out that they were finally going to be able to add on a tiny human to their story, so of course, some maternity photos were needed.

I typically recommend scheduling your maternity photos at around the 7 month mark of your pregnancy. That way your tummy is well defined but you’re not miserable yet. haha. I’ve done a few 9 month sessions before and wheeeew, mommas I do envy your strength! Practically, though, waiting until the end, we have a greater risk of missing our session if your nugget happens to make an appearance early.
