A Series of Fortunate Events

This is an example of what you’ll get from your session. You see, I tell people that they’ll get a minimum of 15 images from their session but I actually deliver a whole lot more. This is because I like all of the in between expressions that kids make—from their serious faces to their smiles. Kiddos are just tiny adults and we all have a million different emotions (maybe that’s just me :P ) and I want to capture them all for you.

Get Your Wiggle On

I am an advocate for encouraging kids to move around during sessions. I’ve found that the more we say “stand still and smile pretty” the more nervous they become. Yeah, sometimes they’re grumpy and just combative (they' ARE kids after all) but overall, I think our kiddos just want us to do what we want them too but their nerves and unease get in the way. So I get around that by letting them move around and have fun! My go do with littles is turn around in circles and jump up and down. Sometimes we throw leaves or change locations. As soon as I notice that mood shift, I switch up whatever we are doing

Another Year, Another DeShong Family Photo Session

I meet up with the DeShong’s often and I always love photographing their family. Lets be honest, I love photographing ALL of my families, but Its always nice to see my regulars :) This time around, we took a little walk through Minnetrista in Muncie. Cole is always smiling and willing to do a little exploring so we took our stroll and found some roses to smell, haha. A good reminder for us adults, I think. Always stop to smell the roses :)

You Get a Photo, You Get a Photo, You Get a Photo

No one escapes the camera at an extended family session. Sometimes, grandparents will say, “Oh, I’m just here for the kids.” Nope. You get in that photo with your spouse. When was the last time your parents had a photo of the two of them? Your wedding? I bet it was your wedding, wasn’t it. Well, get them in front of this camera!

Getting Ready for a Wedding in Ohio

First of all, this is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen. I was blessed with the good light that day and had to take at least one epic shot of the outside—while still keeping it candid because…of course, I did :P Then I went inside and met up with Kaitlyn who was getting ready for photos and a first look.
